Put-in-Bay Blessing of the Fleet Join in the 22nd annual gathering of boats and aircraft that service the island to be blessed for the new season. Ceremony is held at the Jet Express dock downtown Put-in-Bay at 11:00 AM. Coffee, Hot Chocolate, cookies and donuts served on the dock.

This event is hosted for guests of the Island Club, Put-in-Bay Resort & Conference Center, Commodore Resort and the Edgewater Hotel only. Rock the boat Ohio Bike week Rally at Put-in-Bay! Bikers participating in the 2008 Ohio Bike Week's North Coast Thunder Rally will get a chance to tour Put-in-Bay and participate in a scavenger hunt and a poker run. More than 500 bikes are expected to make the trip to the island. The Put-in-Bay Resort & Conference Center is the host hotel for the event and will be offering secure paved parking for bikers and their families.

14th Annual Phlocking of the Phaithful Annual Phlocking of the Phaithful Jimmy Buffet Parrot head weekend. Hosted by the Commodore Resort, Put-in-Bay Resort & Conference Center and Island Club. Join in with over 1000 Jimmy Buffet fans for three days of fun food and festivities. Entertainment all day and night! You must be register at the Phlocking website.

101st Annual Mills Trophy Race Invitational Sailing race from Toledo to Put in Bay. More than 1000 sailors are expected to participate in this race that originates from the Toledo Yacht Club.

33rd Annual Founder's Day Weekend Celebration A celebration of the founding of the island village by Jose DeRivera. Founder's Day means good food and lots of fun for the entire family. Held in DeRivera Park downtown from 11 am to 5 pm. Island entertainer Ray Fogg will perform a free concert from 12:30 to 2 pm. Mr. Balloon will make a new collection of zany balloon characters for kids of all ages and there will also be a magician. The Put-in-Bay Hog Roasters will provide a roast beef picnic lunch. Shop for bargain at one of the sale tables and pick up information on one of our non-profit groups that rely on the support of our community and visitors.

5th Annual Put-in-Bay Pooch parade Fourth annual Put-in-Bay Pooch Parade to benefit Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church. $10 entry fee per pooch. Prizes for cutest, smallest, largest, most talented, individual best dressed, group best dressed, dog & owner look-a-like and most unique. Each entrant receives a "doggy goodie bag". Registration begins at 1 pm at the DeRivera Park gazebo, parade & contest begins at 10:30.

Lake Erie Islands Historical Society "Auction for History" Third annual Lake Erie Islands Historical Society's Island "Auction for History". Under the big tent in DeRivera Park downtown Put-in-Bay. Auction items include artwork, vehicles, gift certificates, antiques, furniture, appliances, island memorabilia and more. All proceeds benefit the Lake Erie Islands Historical Society Museum. The auction begins at 11 a.m. Items may be previewed beginning at 9 a.m. There is a Preview Party and Silent Auction on Friday at the museum. Call 419-285-2408 for more information

5th Annual Lake Erie Islands Browns Backers Rib Cook-off Lake Erie Islands Browns Backers Rib Cook-Off from 11 to 5 pm Saturday at the Skyway. Meet former players from the Cleveland Browns along with The Bone Lady, Big Dawg, Mobile Dawg, Charlie's Fryes and Brownie the Elf. All guests will be available for autographs and pictures. Great food and a live band are also big reasons to attend. Entry includes drawing for nice door prizes. There will also be a raffle for some great Cleveland Browns prizes, including game jerseys. Games and prizes, kids 11 and younger are admitted free. Proceeds benefit the Browns Foundation for Children, island scholarship programs, local non-profit community groups and civic groups.

Put-in-Bay 5 Iron Classic Sponsored by EZ-GO 14th annual tournament held at Saunders Resort. Sponsored by E-Z GO Golf Carts. Players use just a five-iron and a putter. $10,000 Hole-in-One prize. EZ-GO golf cart is a prize for a second Hole-in-one contest. Entry is $120 per team and includes lots of prizes, greens fees, players kit, picnic lunch (steak, burgers, dogs), all beverages, etc. First tee time is 9 am and final tee time is 6:30 pm. July 4th weekend! There is no better place to be to celebrate America's birthday than a three day getaway to Put-in-Bay! Enjoy a great fireworks show at dusk sponsored by island businesses and friends. The show is best viewed from the Monument and surrounding grounds. Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy!

Firelands Symphony Orchestra Freedom Concert The Firelands Symphony Orchestra performs at 7 pm on the porch at Perry's Victory Visitor Center. The concert is free and open to the general public. Seating is on the lawn so bring a cushion to sit on. The symphony's performance is part of Put-in-Bay's Community Independence Day Celebration. The Firelands Symphony is organized by the Put-in-Bay Arts Council.

Historical Society Island Home Tour The 24th Annual Island Home Tour organized by the Lake Erie Islands Historical Society. This year's tour is currently being organized. Contact 419-285-2804 about joining the museum so you'll receive early notification of the event.

Put-in-Bay Cup Soccer Challenge Put-in-Bay's third annual "Soccer Challenge" will be held at McCann Field near downtown. This amateur adult soccer tournament is a 6 on 6 match with rosters limited to 10 players. Players from Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, West Virginia and Canada are expected to compete. Divisions include men's open, B, 30+ & 40+; women's open, B & 30+; coed open & recreational. Coed teams are required to have two female players on the field at all times. Tournament weekends include a three-game guarantee, a players' party with discounted food and beverages and host hotels. For more information, contact Jeff Foster at 614-619-0858.

I-LYA Junior Sail Regatta Junior Sailors compete for points towards national competition in various racing classes.

Christmas In July Weekend! Island businesses decorate for the holiday season. Food and beverage specials in a Christmas theme. This is one of the busiest weekends of the year so be sure to make your hotel reservations early! Great live entertainment and nearly the entire downtown area is decorated for Christmas. Best Decorated boat contest Friday, July 25th, in the downtown harbor. Burgees awarded for first, second & third place winners.

Deepwater Sail Regatta Put-in-Bay welcomes the I-LYA Sail Boat Regatta, an island tradition for over 100 years. Racers compete in various classes.

Power Boat Regatta Put-in-Bay welcomes the annual gathering of the I-LYA Power Boat Regatta. Central headquarters for activities is located at the Put-in-Bay Yacht Club.

I-LYA Senior Sailing Races An Island tradition for over 100 years. Races start Monday and can be seen off the western shore of Put-in-Bay.

5th Annual North Bass Island Historical Tour Visit North Bass Island for an historical tour of the northern most of the Lake Erie Bass Islands. Includes ferry passage and lunch on North Bass Island. Barber Shop Quartets Concert The annual performance on the island by the Barber shoppers will take place at 7 pm at Perry's Victory & International Peace Memorial plaza. Enjoy more than 20 quartets performing.

Roundhouse Bar Bartender Olympics Sponsored by the Roundhouse Bar, this popular island event is held on Delaware Avenue and inside the red round bar. Competition begins at 7 pm with a parade and the lighting of the Olympic torch.

Key West Days at Put-in-Bay Island entertainers who perform on Put-in-Bay in the summer and in Key West in the winter will participate in the first "Key West Days at Put-in-Bay." Key West held its first "Put-in-Bay Days" in February of 2005. Check our entertainment page for schedules and look for Mike ìMad Dogî Adams, Pete & Wayne, Ray Fogg and Pat Dailey.

Put-in-Bay Volleyball Classic For over 25 years volleyball players have competed in this day long tournament held the last dew years at McCann Field on Toledo Avenue near downtown Put-in-Bay. Over 2500 players compete in numerous divisions.

Historical Weekend A wide variety of family oriented activities including the Grand Parade on Saturday with antique and classic cars, numerous area bands and dignitaries. Boy Scout Camp-O-Ree at the Perry Memorial. Musket & Cannon firing demonstrations. Art in the Park featuring regional artists, photographers, potters, painters, silversmiths, and displays, downtown DeRivera Park on Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm.

Historical Saturday Grand Parade down Delaware avenue downtown Put-in-Bay at 1:15 p.m. Memorial service at 2 p.m. at Perry Monument U.S. Navy representative will be the featured speaker.

Art in the Park Downtown DeRivera Park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a wide variety of area and regional artist displaying and selling their work.

Stone Lab 11th Annual Open House The Friends of Stone Lab will be hosting the 11th annual one day Open House for the public from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the laboratory on Gibraltar Island. Free transportation will be provided from The Ohio State University Research Building at 879 Bay View Avenue to Gibraltar Island. The Stone Lab is the oldest fresh water biological field station in the United States, This free event includes tours of the South Bass Island Lighthouse, Stone Lab and the Aquatic Resource Center as well as lectures and laboratory sessions on Gibraltar. 35th Annual New Years Eve at the BAY!!! Local establishments welcome you to enjoy holiday festivities including the very popular Monte Carlo casino style street games downtown on Delaware Avenue from 6 pm to 11 pm on Saturday night. Dive Put-in-Bay Harbor Clean up Join us on Monday, September 15, (9 am to 3 pm) for the 16th annual clean-up of Put-in-Bay's downtown harbor. More than 70 divers and an anticipated 300 land support volunteers will help in this project which is a joint venture between the Put-in-Bay community, Ohio State University's Stone Lab, Port Clinton's New Wave Dive Center and Patrix Scuba and the Ohio Council of Skin and Scuba Divers, Inc. Miller Boat Line, Island Transportation, the Village of Put-in-Bay, the DeRivera Park Trust and the Put-in-Bay Chamber and many island and mainland businesses are also sponsors of the event. Clam Bake weekend 33rd annual Put-in-Bay Volunteer Fire Department island style Clam Bake Saturday afternoon from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Fire Station on Concord Avenue. Bake includes a dozen clams, _ chicken, and corn. Potato, fresh fruit and vegetables. Carry out is available! Tickets are $23.00 per person. Island Wine festival 6th annual Island Wine Festival takes place on Saturday from 11:00 am to 6 pm under a large tent on Toledo Avenue near the downtown depot. 15th Annual Island Oktoberfest Join us for a Put-in-Bay tradition celebrating German style with lots of food and live entertainment by the Maxx Band. Great family fun Saturday from 11 am to 7 pm and Sunday from noon to 5 pm.
